Max cut 3.0 Detroit cutting compound is a high strength high course cut strength on the scale of nine points out of 10. This will easily remove deeper defects and scratches with ease on either a dual action polisher or a rotary. We use Detroit Max cut 3.0 with a Rotary polish she usually and a wall polishing pad to ensure all deeper defects are removed. For the ideal two step paint direction we recommend Detroit extreme polish surface care to finish down this will ensure removal of all first step polishing Haze. Alternatively, you could use armour SIO2 if you’re going to be installing a ceramic coating as your second step. Always use a paint preparation spray such as an eraser before applying any ceramic coatings after using this compound.
